Breast Lift in Miami, FL
Many women experience sagging or drooping breasts at some point in their lives. This can occur for many reasons, including weight loss, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and natural aging. After all, no one’s breasts are immune to gravity pulling them down over time. These changes to your breasts can make you feel older than you are and diminish your confidence and self-image.
A breast lift is the only cosmetic procedure designed to elevate the breasts and restore a more lifted, youthful appearance and position. Dr. Victoria Karlinsky performs breast lift surgery at VK Cosmetic Surgical Arts in Miami, FL, to enhance and rejuvenate women’s breasts. She focuses on helping patients reveal the very best version of themselves and enhancing their natural beauty.
What Is a Breast Lift?
A breast lift, or mastopexy, is a cosmetic procedure that eliminates excess skin and tightens tissues to elevate and reshape the breasts for a perkier, more youthful appearance.
What Are the Benefits of a Breast Lift?
Breast lift surgery can provide stunning results for women unhappy with their sagging or flattened breasts. While augmentation enhances volume, a lift reshapes the contour, elevation, and appearance of the breast. No other procedure will give you quite the same results.
In addition to elevating and reshaping the breasts, a breast lift dramatically improves women’s self-confidence. Breasts signify femininity and beauty; when your breasts sag or become altered due to life events, it can be upsetting and detract from your self-perceptions.
A breast lift can:
- Reshape the breasts for a firmer, more youthful appearance
- Eliminate excess skin that is causing sagging
- Move the nipple and areola to a more pleasing position on the breast
- Boost your confidence
- Increase vitality and self-image
At VK Cosmetic Surgical Arts, we understand the importance of improving your self-confidence for mental and emotional well-being. That’s why we are committed to providing our patients with the highest standard of surgical care.
What Are My Breast Lift Options?
Dr. Victoria Karlinsky and her team at VK Cosmetic Surgical Arts is dedicated to providing their breast lift patients with specialized care to address their unique concerns and goals. During your consultation, you can discuss your incision options and how to combine your lift with other breast surgeries.
Breast Lift Incision Options
Your board-certified cosmetic surgeon will recommend the best incision based on your needs and the severity of your breast sagging.
Periareolar Incision
The periareolar breast lift is best for women with mild breast ptosis. The incision is made around the areola, resulting in little — if any — noticeable scarring. While there are benefits to this option, only a small amount of breast correction can occur, and the nipple-areola complex cannot be repositioned.
Lollipop Incision
This incision circles the areola and continues vertically towards the bottom of the breast. Lollipop incisions are ideal for women with mild to moderate ptosis. There will be some post-operative scarring, but it is slight.
Anchor Incision
The anchor incision allows for the most significant correction and is ideal for women with moderate to substantial drooping. The incision circles the areola before making a vertical line towards the breast crease, then horizontally across the breast fold (inframammary fold).
Breast Lift With Augmentation
It is very common for breast ptosis to be a result of volume loss. As the skin stretches and the breasts lose volume due to weight loss or pregnancy, the breasts become loose, saggy, and flattened. This is why it’s very common for women looking to lift the breasts to also want breast augmentation.
Am I a Candidate for a Breast Lift?
At VK Cosmetic Surgical Arts, we believe every woman deserves a body she loves, regardless of age or circumstances. You may be a candidate for breast lift surgery if you are experiencing any of the following concerns:
- A loss of skin elasticity that has caused the breasts to sag or droop
- Drooping or sagging of the breasts following pregnancy or weight loss
- A deflated appearance of the breasts
- Downward-pointing nipples
- An elongated appearance of the areola
Candidates for breast lift surgery should also be in good health, non-smokers or willing to quit, have reasonable expectations for results, and have a healthy view of their bodies. Improving your appearance with cosmetic surgery is a deeply personal decision and should only be done for your own benefit.
Dr. Victoria Karlinsky is highly trained and experienced, specializing in breast and body surgeries. She is committed to providing highly individualized care and consideration to her patients, from consultation to post-operative check-ins.

How Is a Breast Lift Performed?
Breast lift surgery is performed under general anesthesia for optimum comfort. Your exact procedure will vary depending on the extent of correction, the type of incision, and whether you are combining your breast lift with another surgery.
Your breast lift may take one to three hours to perform. This is typically an outpatient procedure, and you can return home after surgery. You will need someone to drive you.
How Long Is Breast Lift Recovery?
Following your breast lift, you will have some bruising and swelling. It is recommended that you have someone stay with you for the first 24 hours following surgery in case you need assistance. Your surgeon will provide you with a surgical bra to provide support while you heal.
It is important to rest as much as possible for the first few days and avoid putting excess tension on your incisions. Most breast lift patients can return to work within a few days to one week, depending on how physical their job duties are.
Dr. Karlinsky will provide you with her personal cell phone number in case any questions or concerns arise during your recovery. Do not hesitate to reach out to her.
When Will I See My Breast Lift Results?
Breast lift surgery provides immediate, long-lasting results. You will notice that your breasts are resting in a higher position and have a more pleasing shape. As you heal, the appearance of your breasts will continue to improve. Once swelling and bruising have subsided, you can enjoy firmer, lifted, and contoured breasts.

Breast Lift FAQ
How much is a breast lift in Miami?
The cost of breast lift surgery in Miami varies depending on the extent of revision, the specific techniques used, geographical location, anesthesia fees, facility fees, and surgical fees.
If you are combining your breast lift with any other procedures, this can also impact cost.
During your consultation, your board-certified cosmetic surgeon will discuss the variables of your procedure before creating a surgical plan for you. At this time, our team can provide you with an accurate cost estimate.
Will my breast lift make my breasts smaller?
The primary goal of your breast lift is to elevate the breasts, remove excess skin that causes sagging, reposition the nipple, and reshape the breast. Your breast lift is not designed to alter the volume of the breasts — only reposition it to a perkier elevation.
If you have concerns about changing the volume of your breasts, consider a breast augmentation to increase the size.
If you struggle with overly large, sagging breasts, breast reduction might be a better option. During this procedure, breast tissue is removed, reducing the size and weight of heavy breasts before restructuring them.
Depending on the amount of tissue and extent of sagging, your surgeon will recommend the procedure or combination of procedures to get you the results you desire.
Will I have scars after a breast lift?
As with any surgical procedure that involves incisions, there is a risk for scarring. The location of your scars will depend on the type of incision used and your body’s natural healing process.
Dr. Karlinsky is a highly skilled cosmetic surgeon with extensive experience performing this procedure. She understands how important it is to come out of surgery with as minimal scarring as possible, so she takes every precaution to only make incisions as necessary and in the most discreet manner possible.
To help your body heal with minimal scars, be sure to follow your post-operative instructions as closely as possible. Do not put excessive tension on your incisions, which can cause more prominent scars. Once fully healed, you can minimize scarring by avoiding sun exposure and using topical scar medication.
Is a breast lift permanent?
Your breast lift can provide long-lasting, beautiful results. However, no cosmetic procedure can stop the natural aging process, and changes to the body —like weight fluctuations and subsequent pregnancies — can affect results.
For this reason, we recommend that you undergo your breast lift after you have finished having children, or a second procedure may be necessary.
Can I combine my breast lift with any body contouring procedures?
In addition to breast augmentation, many women add their breast lift to a full Mommy Makeover. With a Mommy Makeover, your surgeon creates a customized surgical procedure that incorporates multiple surgeries designed to enhance the breasts, abdomen, and surrounding areas.
If you are interested in combining your breast lift with any other procedures, Dr. Karlinsky will gladly discuss your options with you to help you customize your experience for the best possible outcome.
